Oi oi - Marina aqui. Sou brasileira, designer há quase 30 anos (ui!) e trabalho com design gráfico. Estudei Design na FAAP e Artes Plásticas na UNESP — essa mistura sempre me atraiu e eu realmente acredito que fazer diferente faz a diferença.
Comecei com grandes nomes do design brasileiro. Primeiro com Rafic Farah, na São Paulo Criação, e depois alguns anos no estúdio do Rico Lins. Saí em busca da minha independência criativa... já fazia uns freelas por aí até decidir me juntar ao Estúdio Colírio, profissionalizar a parada e ter uma estrutura maior pra atender clientes que só cresciam, em volume e complexidade.
Foram 15 anos lá, como sócia e diretora criativa. Tenho muito orgulho do que construímos. Foi muito projeto legal, muita gente incrível que passou por ali; equipe, clientes, parceiros… uns prêmios pelo caminho, muito prazer e reconhecimento.
Em 2018 tirei um ano sabático e descobri novas maneiras de trabalhar de forma independente — inclusive com a Apple. No começo pensei que seria só um pit stop em Cupertino durante o sabático (que chique!), mas sigo com time de MarCom, contribuindo com direção criativa/design na localização de campanhas e conteúdo para América Latina. Venho participando do lançamento global de produtos desde o iPhone 8! Trabalhei também em muitas campanhas pro iPad, meu xodó <3, localizando conteúdo com Apple Pencil pras nossas línguas latinas, português e espanhol, e me divertindo ao desenhar :)
Enfim.. seguimos freelando aqui, ali e acolá, viajando bastante pra me envolver de perto nas histórias (amo!), mas mantendo meu estúdio perto de casa, no centro de São Paulo -onde a diversidade realmente acontece. E assim quero seguir, trocando com marcas, agências e organizações… mas, acima de tudo, com pessoas que queiram pensar e construir comunicação inteligente, inspiradora e assertiva. E beleza a gente nem questiona.
Hi hi — Marina here. I’m Brazilian, a designer for almost 30 years (wow!), and I work in graphic design. I studied Design at FAAP and Fine Arts at UNESP — that mix has always attracted me and I truly believe doing things differently makes a difference.
I started with big names in Brazilian design. First with Rafic Farah at São Paulo Criação, then a few years at Rico Lins’s studio. I left to seek my creative independence... I was doing some freelance work until I decided to join Estúdio Colírio, professionalize the operation, and build a bigger structure to serve clients who were only growing in volume and complexity.
I spent 15 years there as a partner and creative director. I’m very proud of what we built. There were many great projects, lots of incredible people who passed through there — team, clients, partners… a few awards along the way, a lot of pleasure and recognition.
In 2018 I took a sabbatical year and discovered new ways to work independently — including with Apple. At first I thought it would be just a pit stop in Cupertino during the sabbatical (how fancy!), but I continue working with the MarCom team, contributing creative direction / design for campaign and content localization across Latin America. I’ve been involved in global launches of Apple products since the iPhone 8! I also worked on many iPad campaigns, my favorite <3, localizing Apple Pencil content into our Latin languages, Portuguese and Spanish, and having fun drawing :)
Anyway — we keep freelancing here and there, traveling a lot so I can be close to the projects (love it!), while keeping my studio near home in downtown São Paulo — where diversity truly happens. That’s how I want to continue: collaborating with brands, agencies, and organizations… but above all, with people who want to think and build intelligent, inspiring, and effective communication. And beauty is not even up for debate.
